Trampoline History - 1964 "On the Bounce"
In 1964, the Nissen Corpration partnered with Grossinger's Hotel & Resort and ABC Sports to stage the First World Professional Trampoline and Diving Championships. A few months later, the movie short "On the Bounce," narrated by the famous sportscaster Chris Schenkel, thrilled audiences nationwide and helped to inspire a whole new generation of divers & trampolinists. Trampoline History - - 1977 Trampolining at the Egyptian Pyramids
In April 1977, George Nissen organized a group of U.S. gymnasts and trampolinists to go to Egypt for exhibitions and clinics. One of the highlights of the tour was the day spent bouncing on trampolines at the base of the pyramids.
