Morinari Watanabe, the head of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) has been elected to the International Olympic Committee as the organisation admitted nine new members. Watanabe is joined by Andrew Parsons, the head of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), and Italian Olympic Committee President Giovanni Malago, whose country is bidding for
