Kundius and Kouvatas 2010 European Junior Champions
April 25, 2010: Irina Kundius (RUS) and Apostolos Koivatas (GRE) became the 2010 European Junior Champions in individual trampoline yesterday in Varna, Bulgaria, at the 20th European Junior Championships. In synchronized trampoline, Svetlana Makshtareva-Lizaveta Kozlova (BLR) and Dimitri Byedyevkin-Alexander Satin (UKR) won the gold medals. Viktoria Danilenko (RUS) and Shaun Gregory (GBR) were the new European Junior Champions in tumbling. Anastasia Ignatieva (RUS) and Alexander Odintsov (RUS) earn two more gold medals for Russia in double mini-trampoline. Results added.
Karavaeva and Pennes 2010 European Champions
April 25, 2010: Irina Karavaeva (RUS) and Gregoire Pennes (FRA) prevailed in the women's and men's trampoline finals of 2010 European Championships that took place yesterday in Varna, Bulgaria. It was the 6th European Champion title for Karavaeva. Jessica Simon-Anna Dogonadze (GER) and Karsten Kuritz-Martin Gromowski (GER) won the synchronized trampoline events. Viktor Kiforenko (UKR) and Anna Korobeynikova (RUS) triumphed in tumbling. Svetlana Balandina (RUS) and Daniel Schmidt (GER) claimed the gold medals in DMT. Detailed results added.
2010 European Championships moved to Varna - 2012 Euros in Wroclaw
October 1, 2009: The 22nd European Championships and the 20th European Youth Championships in trampoline, tumbling, and double mini-trampoline were moved to Varna, Bulgaria, instead of Sofia. The events will take place on April 20-25, 2010. The 2012 events will be hosted by Wroclaw, Poland,
Karavaeva and Nikitin 2008 European Champions
May 2, 2008: The 2008 European Championships came to an end today at Arena Fyn in Odense, Denmark, with the individual finals in the senior and junior competitions. Irina Karavaeva (RUS) won a record 5th European Champion title in the senior women's trampoline event, whereas Yuri Nikitin (UKR) reclaimed his title in the men's. Yulia Domchevska-Elena Movchan (UKR) and Viacheslav Model-Nikolai Kazak (BLR) won the European title in senior synchronized trampoline. Elena Chabanenko (UKR) and Andrei Krylov (RUS) were crowned in tumbling. Nicole Pacheco (POR) and Dimitri Fedorovsky (RUS) prevailed in DMT. In junior, Mikhail Melnik (RUS) became the only 2nd man in history to win the title twice in individual, whereas Emma Smith (GBR) won the women's event. Many pictures from Vladimir Zeman added.
5 gold medals for Russia in the senior team finals at the 2008 European Championships
May 2, 2008: Russia won five of the six team finals (men's trampoline, men's and women's DMT, and men's and women's tumbling) of the 2008 European Championships held today in Odense, Denmark. The Ukraine retained its title in the women's trampoline event, barely preventing a Russian sweep of the team finals. Irina Karavaeva (RUS) and Yuri Nikitin (UKR) took the lead in the individual trampoline preliminaries in the afternoon. Martin Gromowski-Karsten Kuritz (GER) and Yulia Domchevska-Elena Movchan (UKR) took the lead in the synchronized trampoline preliminaries in the morning. Pictures from Vladimir Zeman added.
