The 20th European Youth Championships in trampoline, tumbling, and double mini-trampoline (DMT) came to an end yesterday in Varna, Bulgaria.
In women's individual trampoline, youngster Irina Kundius (RUS) was crowned. She was joined at the awards ceremony by Svetlana Makshtareva (BLR) and Pamela Clark (GBR).
In men's individual trampoline, Apostolos Kouvatas (GRE) claimed the gold medal by edging Alexander Satin (UKR). Oliver Amann (GER) captured the bronze medal.
The women's synchronized trampoline saw Svetlana Makshtareva-Lizaveta Kozlova (BLR) cruise to victory. Melanie Peterhans-Simone Scherer (SUI) and Solenn Bardy-Lea Labrousse (FRA) were respectively silver and bronze medalists. In the men's, Dimitri Byedyevkin-Alexander Satin (FRA) won the gold medal, by edging Louis Fait-Redha Messafta (FRA) and Oleg Talsky-Oleg Piunov (RUS).
The women's tumbling event crowned Viktoria Danilenko (RUS). Lucie Colebeck (GBR) and Daria Mironova (RUS) joined her at the awards ceremony. In the men's tumbling competition, Shaun Gregory (GBR) claimed the gold medal. Alexander Bezyulev (RUS) and Mikhail Manin (RUS) won the silver and bronze medals.
In the women's DMT event, Anastasia Ignatieva (RUS) won the gold medal by easily dominating her rivals. Sapphire Dallard (GBR) and Daria Romanova (RUS) earned the silver and bronze medals. In the men's, Alexander Odintsov (RUS) cruised to victory. Andrei Kalashnikov (RUS) captured the silver medal, followed by bronze medalists Rhys Gray (GBR).
