October 30, 2007: Viktoria Voronina (RUS) and Tomasz Adamczyk (POL) were the winners of the 2nd Wroclaw Cup, held in Wroclaw, Poland, on October 4-6, 2007. The junior event was won by Anna Gorchenok (BLR) and Valeri Anisimov (RUS). Athletes from 6 countries competed in this competition that will be the stage to a World Cup in 2008.

The 2nd international Wroclaw Cup took place in Wroclaw, Poland, on October 4-6, 2007.  The whole competition took place on Friday, whereas a tour of the city was organized on Saturday, thus offering the unique opportunity for the athletes to enjoy some of the nicest aspects of Wroclaw, whose historical downtown area offers a mix of Silesian, Bohemian, Austrian, and Prussian influences.

The lower Silesia city is also a growning and developing city that recently put a bid to host the 2012 EXPO.  The city will also be one of the host citiies of the 2012 European Championships in football.  The 3rd edition of the trampoline Wroclaw Cup will take place in March 2008 and will actually be the stage of a World Cup event.

The turnout for the competion was very interesting with some of the athletes in senior and age groups from Russia, Belarus, Poland, Italy, Kazakhstan, and Hungary.  Many of the athletes from Russia and Hungary were returning from the 1st edition of this promising event.

The competition also provided significant financial rewards with a cash reward of EUR 750 for the men's and women's winners in the senior category.

The scores from the preliminaries were reset to zero in the finals.

In women's senior individual trampoline, Russian international Viktoria Voronina (RUS) prevailed with 36.60 pts thanks to a strong routine that featured the highest tariff of the competition (13.10 pts).  Her teammate Anastasia Velichko (RUS) took the silver medal with 35.70 pts thanks to a solid routine with a 12.50 pt tariff.  Voronina and Velichko already occupied the top two spots after the preliminaries.  Joanna Pyznar (POL) came in 3rd with 32.40 pts, ahead of Evgenia Kazakevich (KAZ).  Agnieszka Zawadzka (POL), who was in 3rd place after the preliminaries, could not hold on to the medal in the final.  Joanna Pyznar-Jasmina Kuc (POL) won the synchronized trampoline competition.

In the men's senior competition, the medals were hard fought as Tomasz Adamczyk (POL) edged 2006 European Youth Championship medalist Alexander Yatskov (BLR) 37.40 pts to 37.30 pts.  Adamczyk, who moved up three spots in the final, prevailed with a 14.10 pt tariff whereas Yatskov, who was already in 2nd place after the preliminaries, competed a 14.20 pt tariff.  Yatskov had performed the best optional of the preliminaries, obtaining 37.00 pts.  Dawid Ciesielski (POL), who moved up three spots in the final, came in 3rd with 36.60 pts, edging Polish Champion Lukasz Tomaszewski (POL - 36.30 pts) after the latter struggled in the final.  Tomaszewski was in 3rd place after the preliminaries after competing a very reduced difficulty in the preliminaries, but did not manage to sufficiently stepped up his game in the final to secure the medal.  Jakub Kubiak (POL) came in 5th with 35.50 pts.  Evgeni Chernoivanov (RUS) had the most disappointing final as he competed last after taking the lead in the preliminaries.  Unfortunately, Chernoivanov crashed right after the half out triffis pike that kicked off his routine in the final, which forced him to settle for the 8th place.  Alexander Yatskov-Vladimir Vasiliev (BLR) were convincing winners of the synchronized trampoline competition.

The women's junior competition saw the brilliant victory of the very promising Anna Gorchenok (BLR - a.k.a., Hanna Harchonak, Horchenak, Khorchenok).  The 1992-born youngster prevailed with 34.80 pts with a 10.40 pt tariff.  Marzena Zelazna (POL - 31.70 pts) and Justyna Grutzmann (POL - 31.20 pts) joined Gorchenok at the awards ceremony after a long series of crashes by the other athletes.  Zelazna and Grutzmann were only in 7th and 8th places after the preliminaries.  Olga Kapustina (BLR), who won the 2006 European Youth Championships in synchronized trampoline, was in 2nd place after the preliminaries, just few tenths behind Gorchenok after performing an 11.20 pt tariff.  Unfortunately, Kapustina struggled in the final and could not do better than a 4th place.  The final also saw Nina Aliabeva (RUS), Ekaterina Petrulova (BLR), Veronika Korsunova (RUS), and Alexandra Zaichenko (RUS) being unable to successfully complete their routines.  They were all placed between the 3rd and 6th place after the preliminaries.  Gorchenok won a second gold medal in the synchronized competition, paired with Olga Kapustina

The men's junior competition saw a very interesting battle between Walter Pinto (POL) and the Russian trampolinists.  Pinto had a very slight lead over Valeri Anisimov (RUS) after the preliminaries thanks to superior difficulty (13.60 pts), but Pinto might have played it a little too safe in the final as he competed only a 12.90 pt tariff.  In the end, Anisimov secured the gold medal with 35.60 pts (12.20 pt tariff), edging Pinto by only 0.10 pts.  Sergei Ermakov (RUS) took the bronze medal with 34.70 pts, barely edging Ivan Sukhov (RUS - 34.60 pts).  Maciej Andreasik (POL) followed.  Vladimir Vasiliev (BLR), who was expected to join the battle for the medals, unfortunately crashed in the preliminaries.  The gold medal in synchronized trampoline went to Tomasz Krzemien-Krystian Czerniej (POL).

The women's youth competition saw the victory of the very promising Svetlana Makshtareva (BLR), who was born in 1994.  Makshtareva triumphed with 33.90 pts in the final, competing a 10.50 pt tariff.  Youngster Ekaterina Zhigalova (RUS - 31.60 pts with an 8.80 pt tariff) secured the silver medal ahead of Olga Korenko (RUS - 30.60 pts with an 8.10 pt tariff).

The men's youth competition was won by the promising Filip Tratfal (POL), who obtained 34.00 pts with a 10.60 pt tariff.  Traftal, who was in 2nd place after the preliminaries, produced a routine that put some pressure on then-leader Ivan Ladigin (RUS), who did not manage to deliver a routine as good as in the preliminaries.  Ladigin had to settle for the 4th place, behind Lukasz Najborowski (POL - 31.30 pts) and Krystian Czerniej (POL - 31.10 pts), who nabbed the silver and bronze medals.
