The first World Cup of the 2007-2008 World Cup cycle will take place in Lake Placid, United States, on April 1-2, 2007. Lake Placid is located inside the Adirondack State Park in the north of New York State.
Lake Placid was the site of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympic Games.
The Lake Placid World Cup will be a category B event featuring trampoline and tumbling competitions.
20 countries will enter the competition, including Australia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Canada, China, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Great Britain, Georgia, Israel, Japan, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland, Slovakia, the Ukraine, the United States, and Uzbekistan.
Overall 137 athletes will perform at the Lake Placid U.S. Olympic Training Center where the competition will take place.
58 athletes will compete in the men's individual trampoline event, 38 in the women's individual trampoline event, 21 pairs in the men's synchronized trampoline event, and 12 pairs in the women's synchronized trampoline event. In tumbling, 18 men and 16 women will battle for the medals.

The equipment used at the Lake Placid World Cup will be similar to the equipment to be used at the 2007 Quebec City World Championships: Rebound Products Steadfast-1 trampoline and Ross Athletics Supply tumbling track.
